It was a challenge executing this wedding dress for my GT sis, Jackie. Firstly, this is the first mermaid cut project we'll be doing ever since the business started.
Secondly, it was inspired by Monique Lhuillier's Magical Wedding Gown.

Instead of using french chantilly, we're opting for corded spanish lace for the bodice and bridal satin instead of silk orchidea for the skirt. :))
Starting off with the patterns, we tried doing the skirt in manila paper, to fit a barbie doll:

It was a real challenge that I even asked for Ate Tess's guidance until we had it done.
When I assembled the masterpiece on the fitting form, I then thought. It was worth all the efforts!
